Post The Zelda Archives • Posted: Mon Jun 19, 2006 10:48 am
I've already posted this on the Zelda Legacy forums, but hey this is my own site. I should post it here too. :P

As many of you know, EDN is undergoing a MAJOR overhaul. I'm intending this update to seriously push EDN into the mainstream Zelda community sites like The Hylia, TGA, and Zelda Legends. That being said, there are several new features that the site will have.

One of these is something called The Zelda Archives. It's simply a record of past Zelda sites that are now long gone. Being a webmaster for 4 years, I've seen many sites that i've loved simply disappear, and forgot within the year. I don't want EDN to simply fade into memory when it goes, and thus this project.

The idea is simply to have a biography and history of sites that have gone. Try to contact the webmaster and see if they can give us some info, then post it on the site. The new CMS system I'm installing will allow me to hire a core group of people dedicated to this project.

So thoughts? Ideas? Can't wait for the new layout to be done? Post them here. :D

Sounds like a great idea! I'll try to remember some stuff from the site I used to co-webmaster. Lemme get some thinking time in and I'll edit this post.

Site Name: Hyrule Online
Site address: http://www.hyruleonline.com
Webmaster: Kevin Garland

Site Bio: This site was the first stop for Link's career in webmastering and experience with the pressures of bieng a site admin. This site featured strategy guides, items guides, and all the neccesary info on how to beat ALL of the Zelda games. There were many affiliates and a very well kept forum. Sadly the site became dead, as I and a few others were the only ones that remained due to other consoles outdating Zelda games for the time. So, in all honor, I salute to Hyrule Online. "If it happens on Zelda, it happens here."
