Are you kidding me? Why wasn't in the Two Truths One Lie thread? :P

In the end, you're never going to know how good a President will be until he runs his term. Obama might end up being a horrible President or he might be one of the best, only time will tell. But the man won a hard election; if just for a little while, let him and his supporters enjoy the victory. There will be plenty of time for criticism in the next four years.

While that last statement makes damn near no sense...

Look people, I don't care who you voted for, who you support, who the best man for the job is, the facts are what they are: Obama got it, and probably deserves it if that many people voted for him. Regardless of who the president is, he needs support, especially in the beginning of a term. Not one of you knows the trials that the president faces on a daily basis, yet, since none of that affects you (you good little capitalists!), you blow it off, complain until you're blue in the face, even though they do the best they can for a disrespectful, ungrateful public. I wasn't a huge fan of McCain, and I disliked him more after he invited a band to his Minnesota rally (a band I was in, I might add) and didn't let them play until the end, but I clapped for his speeches, and did the little chants, because if he ended up as president, I would have to say I didn't give him the support he deserved.

Damn it, the election is over, and the new president needs our support, whether you like him or not. Deal with it.

Uh.... how come nobody said this when bush was president >_>

And my comment was saying that things are gonna go from a laid back "walk in the park", to a more difficult arena where the point is just kinda to stay standing....... at least from a capitilst/republican perspective.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure people gave Bush a fair shot when he entered office. Heck do I have to remind people he once had a +80% approval rating. Over 90% after 9/11, actually. How dare you edit an admin's post. HOW DARE YOU!

We aren't talking about unconditional support for his entire term. Obama is bound to do things that people don't like, just as Bush did. Either way, he's not even the President yet, so lets just enjoy the fact that after 22 months the election is over. :P

"Over," now that's a beautiful word! No more ads for candinates, no more having to look at them for another two years or so, and no more wondering why the heck Ralph Nader was on my ballot! Isn't he dead?

It's going to get a lot harder for everybody; things always get worse before they get better. Your taxes would have gone up even if McCain had been elected, because things need to be paid for: the war, the bailout, etc.

Although, I will admit. I think one good thing will come immediately of Obama being president. I think most of this "economic crisis" was inside peoples heads, but they made it real by selling stocks, and since there's just something so comforting to alot of people about obama being president, I think the stock market should start doing a tad better from here on out.
