Thanks, personally I think the designs could use more work.

In the end I eventually had this:

Alternatively I didn't stop there, I decided to add a background as well.

Truthfully I haven't had time to be drawing as much as I'd like. The majority of what I've drawn is pencil on paper which has been refreshing after doing only digital art for a while. I also have been doing some lineart for my friend to use on his Megaman romhack which I may or may not show later.

In other, better news I have a working scanner so I can show my real life draws eventually. Not all of them mind you, only the ones I want to....but here's something I drew today for a relative's birthday present:

What I've been working on these past weekends.

I'd like some critique, and what I can possibly add, because I want to submit this for a contest at the end of the month.

Not too sure if it's too late for critique but:

- both the bed and her clothes seem to flat as if the bed sheet/her shirt and pants a perfectly straight. I think some wrinkles here and there would help make it look more like fabric.
- there's something odd about the way her torso bends and the way her upper body is positioned. It might be due to the lack of wrinkles/movement in the clothing but she look like she is bent in a strange position. It's hard to explain but her legs appear to be at an angle while her body is facing towards the table. Maybe wrinkles might help show how the body should be positioned or shift her legs under the desk more?

Added wrinkles to various places, touched up her hair cuz I realized it was bland. Also a few background elements to fill in empty space.

Any other suggestions, people?

Okay. Her left arm looks weird, like it was yanked out of its socket. Then I noticed that it's like...her elbow was detected or something? Her arm is over her forearm which gives her an alien, uncanny valley feel. With how her head is lying and her other hand is positioned, you could probably just have her arm parallel with her body with a V shape to the angle of her inner-elbow.

Her back looks like it has more vertebrae than necessary. Near the top of the arc should be her neck, like near the bottom-most bed leg. Looking at how she's positioned with the chair away from the desk, the curve of her spine should be more lax. Like instead of a steep incline, a gentle slope.
For best results, try replicating her pose yourself. It's quite effective, more so if you can get a picture of if from an angle you can't see.

Everything else is really detailed, cool, and fine by me. :) I can't helping feeling something is off with the light on the floor though...

Smoosh is right about the left arm...especially since if she's relaxed enough to sleep it's more likely her arm would've dropped to the side anyways... Also, the deck's perspective seems a little off. I'm thinking it should be a bit...wider (at least the part closer to the foreground). I guess you could extend the left side (our left) and you don't need to show the side of the leg for the desk either. Get rid of that. The same thing for the light filtering through the window, you need to adjust it to fit with they perspective of the piece. Is...that a Fennekin plush on her pillow? D:

Can I have it?

Please? D:

Well I don't know what contest this is for, but I'll throw in my two cents, EVEN THOUGH PENNIES ARE ILLEGAL IN CANADA NOW.

The lighting is off in the picture. Currently the image is lit with ambient lighting, but contains two strong light sources that does not fit. I assume that you intended these two light sources to be the only sources of light. If this is not the case than feel free to ignore my post.

Let's take a look at the moonlight streaming through the window. Light from the moon (via the sun) is hitting the floor and diffusing into the room. As such, the floor directly hit will be bright and decrease in brightness until the edges of the room appear dark.

Currently the entire floor has the same brightness, so darkening up the areas that shouldn't receive as much light will help sell the moonlight.

Next, the desk lamp is a strong light source, as such, when it illuminates places, there should be secondary lighting as well.

This secondary lighting helps sell the lamp as a light source.

Third, softer objects have softer graduation. So her sweater and hair shouldn't have hard edges. (Unless you're going for a cel shaded look)

Sorry the examples are rushed, that's all I could do during lunch, but I hope it helps. Again I don't know what contest this is for, so if you're going for a certain visual style, just ignore everything I said.

Wave 1 of my Underwoods Peeps drawing. This means, yes, I will be doing a Wave 2.....soon.

I tried to make mugshot thingies like you'd see in a video game. Based off of the game Sequence, sorta.

Needs a better name though. Um.

"Citizen's of the Forbidden Underwoods"

CFW for short.

There. That's out of the way.

BeeX:

Image

A Skulltan.

Zetsu:

Image

A Cyber-Yout. (His innards be mecha.)

Those were my first two, let's check out our Mods:

Tetromino:

Image

A Witchy Witch with hints of the Twilight Realm.

Daku:

Image

A Moogle. Kupo, and all that.

AkA:

Image

A drunk old computer robot. Because reasons.

Let's go Sub-Admins!

DL:

Image

A Wooden Puppet, perhaps controlled by his true form?!

ZE:

Image

A scientist-mage with high intelligence, but low sanity. He is also quite ghostly....he comes and goes at will.

And now for more normal members!

RL:

Image

Tired of drawing him as a Rupee with a crown, I decided a more musically inclined take was due.

Pie:

Image

A Pie that can bake pies! Talk about scandalous!.....or is that how baby pies are made?

Smoosh:

Image

A rich queen who loves destruction. Her Kingdom will cover you for damages.

Berlioz:

Image

Our very own magic maestro. But that grin is.....unsettling.

DF:

Image

A Ball of Fire. I have nothing more to say to this.

Also be sure to check them out all together at my deviantart here: http://fav.me/d641lri

And that is Wave 1. Look forward to Wave 2 in the future. I shall now go draw other things.....finally.

Forgot to post things here. Too lazy to upload to Photobucket, so here's a bunch of Deviant Art links:
