I would have to go with the Greeks, they were afterall before the Romans, and not to be 'bias' for the sake of being 'bias' the Romans did copy a good deal of Greek qualities, the Romans certainly were great, but I found the Greek's quite interesting to study. Ancient Hellas most definitely.

Summed up mine (and my Ancient History teacher's) view entirely. And to PG: blasphemer! The Romans were despicable people who weren't Alexander I of Macedon. I don't see how you could like them better. I myself actually prefer either the Macedonians or the Minoans, which are sort of Greek. One had a world-encompassing empire, the other invented the shower. Also, they completely vanished and had some really cool palaces.

AH! History, how I hate it so. I guess I would choose the Inca's. No reason for it though. I usually sleep in History.

ZE your rite, the Romans did take a lot from the greeks, but the greeks took from the Minoans and them, and I also read that it is rumoured that the Minoans were in fact those from the lost city of Atlantis!! :O so I think i will post a new topic regarding that and what happened. as for L64M: phhhhhhhhhsssssssshhhhhhhhh >:P

I would either choose a Mediterrannean or Meso-American civilization. I love the philosophy of the Greeks, and the mummies of the Incas and Mayans.

And.. yeh.. the Romans were violent brutes who copied everything from the Greeks :D

Babylonians, mainly due to it's biblical references and early civilization wonders. Ex, Hanging Gardens.

The greeks, they had cool legends that have made it into alot more games than you'd think!, and movies for that matter!
I like to think that their culture has had an influance on people today.
Also they were cool! 8)

Actually, America was more influenced by Roman culture, but the Romans stole everything from the Greeks, so indirectly yes.

I would say Egyptians, they are so mysterious and almost seems like they are a mythical civilization. That's why I like them the best.
