Hmmm, well, I did...even though I wanted to play the saxophone instead, but my mom wouldn't let me. *sighs* (I said I liked jazz!) XP

Just speaking based on stereotypes, are you lazy?

What? No...I'm not. Just obedient...(and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure what stereotype you're talking about. Must not exist in Michigan. >_>)

They're worldwide stereotypes that apply to MOST players of each instrument. Ex. most trumpet players are arrogant, most flutes crave attention. I am not biased, though I tend to live up to my instrumental stereotype >_>;;

And pray tell, what is the cellist stereotype? I know the general stereotype for violists is stupidity, and violinists is arrogance, but what about cellists?

I'm not very up on orchestral stereotypes, but judging by the cellists I've met they are generally intelligent and good with their hands. They also seem quite flexible.

Hmmmm, if I was in a Orchestra, I would've played either the harp or the violin (or some other stringed instrument). But, this makes me curious, DL what other instument-player stereotypes do you know?

I don't have time to answer right now, so I'll edit this when I do and PM you.

*Edit* The ones I know are as follows:

*Please keep in mind these are STEREOTYPES and may not be true of all players*

Trumpets - Arrogant
Trombones - Goofy
Tubas - Soul-full
Saxes - Lazy
French Horns - Intelligent & Flexible
Clarinets - Nerds
Flutes - Crave Attemtion

And I used to know percussionists and pianists but I can't remember for the life of me.

And don't forget the all-encompassing brass stereotype: they're a bunch of drunks.

Percussions-The smart, arrogant people. (what? that's what it is at my school. Thanks to one kid...Eeh-hee.)

And, DL, thanks for posting that, and easing my curiousity.

Well if we went by the stereotype of pianists, I'd say they are devilishly handsome and flawless [/lies]

If I take a look at my school and the people who play it, pianists are normally fun loving, sometimes a bit preppy, kinda goofy and easy to get along with. Also going with stereotypes being not that typical, I know other pianists who are VERY preppy, arrogant little monsters, and then just plain me who is just a piano hopeful :P

Guitars for my school, Self-obsessed with either thinking or wanting to be cool, normally gutter-minded people, with a few untarnished souls, but really, almost every guitar playing guy at my school has long hair and act just like you 'd think someone obsessed with metal would XD

Percussionists and bass players (other than Logan and Jimmy)=Arrogant, self-absorbed and are so absorbed with themselves some dont' realize they totally suck, and I'm being serious. XP

Going with world-wide stereotypes, pianists are generally intelligent. There was more, but I don't remember o.O And percussionists were... GAH I CAN'T REMEMBER.

Complete and utter morons who can't keep the beat? Fairly certain that's the percussionist stereotype.
