Post Sapling's Fortnight 2011 • Posted: Tue Apr 19, 2011 10:23 am
With the Ava and Sig Topic finally bringing me back to reality with the fair Underwoods (you guys missed me, right?), I nearly forgot about an event pitch I made last October, Sapling's Day! Now with the event taking place over two weeks, you could call it a Sapling's Fortnight (COUGH COUGH IT IS NOW CALLED FORTNIGHT FOR SIMPLICITY COUGH COUGH), but that just doesn't fly with me. For the last week of April and the first week of May the whole idea is to go back to your past self here on the Forbidden Underwoods.

It's easy to take part, you'll just be using your original Avatar and Signature (or your first ones, if you joined with neither *cough DP cough*) for that entire two week period. People may start discussion topics involving their time spent in the community, favourite memories, old forgotten topics, etc. At it's core, this is just a stylizing event, but it's all up to us as users to make it that more entertaining and fun to participate.

I completely forgot about Moss-tache March... and so did you guys, but I took part in spirit! ;D

Make sure to mark April 24th as the first full 24 hours of Sapling's "Day", as we will conclude with amazing fireworks (or something) on May 7th! I hope to see you all sporting your younger 'faces', because believe me, you all need it. :p

I kid, I kid... or do I?

BE THERE.

Also, if you so wish, we can use Sapling's Day 2011 (this very topic) for the ideas I presented earlier, about discussing the old days when we were all innocent bystanders and how much things suck in 2011 compared to 20XX :p.

I'm going to go change mine back right now, because I'll probably forget tomorrow..

I think this is what I looked like for a very long time minus some quotes that I can't seem to remember.

Well, since I can't find my very first signature done by Tetromino, this is the original face I had in March 2007. I can't remember what my second one ever was, so we'll just go with none for the next two weeks.

Though I should leave the links to Forever Forgotten, since I just know everyone takes advantage of that. :P

Man, I've been using this avatar for over three years now. I haven't the faintest idea of what my first avatar was, considering how long it took me to start posting actively. As for signatures, well, here's the first one I made on my own; I can't seem to remember anything prior.

You'd think, I might remember what I was posting with back when I actually posted actively and saw it all the time, but no. Oh well. Anybody who does remember, feel free to inform me.

If I remember correctly, you originally used a Dark Link avatar... of Twilight Princess Link's face or something. But don't quote me on that, it's been way too long :P.

Well...looks like I missed this...ah...oops. :P

Next time, we need a huge reminder or someone to say in the shout box WHAT IT WAS. Cuz it just sounded like something to do with trees and I didn't bother checking the forum...ummm...you can decide your "punishment" for me. :P

Saplings 'Day' lasts for two weeks, Tetromino, so feel free to take part. :p

We should change the name to Sapling's Fortnight to avoid this confusion.

All right, I thought it was lamesauce, but I probably should make it Sapling's Fortnight :p .

I was wondering when you were going to show up with your eternally classic self, DC :P.

It's not the oldest set...but it's the oldest that I could find. That counts! I think...
