Elite Four Round Robin Rules

The Elite Four Round Robin is a competition that will determine who will become the Elite Four of the EDN pokemon league. The tournament starts May 1st and runs until May 8th. Extensions may occur depending on the circumstances.

There are no structured times for battles, nor is there a battle order. Challengers must seek out each other and battle once the Round Robin has started. The forum thread and PM's can be used to coordinate battles with each other. Make sure you have everyone's friend codes registered in your Pal Pad.

Pokemon Rules:
Each competitor is allowed 4 pokemon of their choice for the round robin. The pokemon must adhere to the following rules:

Ubers banned (http://www.smogon.com/dp/tiers/uber). Everything else is fair game.

Soul Dew Clause (Latias got bumped down to OU, but using a Soul Dew still makes it too powerful, without it though, it's a good pokemon that isn't overpowered.)

No One Hit KO moves. Things like Guillotine, Fissure. These are not allowed.

Battling Rules:

Each competitor will battle each other three times, the best out of three winning the round. You may change pokemon, items and order in between battles. Level 50 Cap. The follows clauses are used for battles:

Sleep Clause (no more than 1 pokemon can be asleep at any one time, otherwise, you can put an entire team to sleep and sweep.)

Honesty Clause: Obviously we can't monitor ever single battle. So for the round robin tryouts, both participants must record their results honestly. We're all friends here, so don't cheat. Cheating is wrong!

Once the three battles have occurred, both contestants must PM me the results on the forums. You must state who won the round and by how many. Ex: ZeldaEinstein beat Darth Citrus 3-0.

Elite Four Winners

Once the RR is complete, the top four competitors with the highest rounds won will be given the title of Elite Four. In the event of a tie, the total number of individual battles won will determine the winner. In the event of that being a tie, a battle off will occur as a tie breaker. These four people will be allowed to form an E4 team of their choice and being fielding challeges to become the EDN champion. The people who do not make it into the Elite Four can also begin forming a team to become Champion.

And that's it. Questions regarding the rules can be posted here.

Three questions:
-Do these rules also apply to challenges?
-Can a challenger decide which type of battle style they would like to challenge with (e.g. double battle) as long as it's used for all four battles?
-Will there be a forum medal/cash/arbitrary prize for one who successfully becomes the EDN League Champion?
